| Brief
description of our organization:
Our grass roots,
501c3, organization was established in 2006
for the sole purpose of creating a Memorial
Park to commemorate the service and
sacrifice of Ohio men and women of the Armed
Forces of the United States.
Our Mission:
Our mission is to
interpret and preserve Ohio's military
history for all generations so they may
truly understand the cost of freedom. The
park is to be a source of pride and solace
to the families and comrades of the veterans
honored there and to provide an
unforgettable lesson in history to all who
visit.
Our Project:
This is the only
Memorial of its kind and quality in our
State to honor all Ohioans from all wars in
one place at one time; whether they served
their country in time of peace or war. The
total cost of the Park is $1,700,000 Our
budget includes a $375,000 endowment fund
for perpetual existence and maintenance of
the Park.
Our Location:
The park is located
on the Scenic Byway, along the Ohio & Erie
Canalway Corridor, where Summit, Stark and
Wayne Counties adjoin. State Route 21 is
within one mile and Interstate 76 is five
miles away, which enables easy access from
all parts of Ohio.

Our Progress To
Date:
Since February 2007,
a large portion of the $1,700,000 project
has already been completed. The land was
donated and our dedication and ground
breaking was held in August 2007. The
stamped sidewalk in front of the wall, which
includes our logo, has been completed. The
125 foot black granite engraved Memorial
wall and the Gold Star Mother statue has
been delivered and was unveiled on May 17,
2009. On November 13, 2010 we unveiled the
largest POW/MIA Pond in the country. As of
this date, we have raised over $780,000.
We are not only
asking for your support in this noble
endeavor. We are asking you to join with us
to make Ohio's Veterans Memorial Park a
reality for future generations.
