The Clinton Cemetery Association purchased the barn that sits in front of The Ohio Veterans' Memorial Park in 2011. They graciously donated the use of the barn and its property to the park. The barn was initially used for storage while plans were being made for how we would use the barn to enhance the park.
In early 2011 we decided to hold a concert at the park in honor of our veterans and their families. A temporary stage was built with a canvas roof to house the bands during the show. On August 14, 2011, it was the only day of the entire month that it rained at the park. It was a down-pour all day long. The temporary stage and canvas roof did not hold up very well, to say the least. Plans were quickly made to build a permanent stage and roof.
With the generosity of Sherwin-Williams and Ohio Blasting Equipment, the barn was painted with a flowing American Flag design, the stage and roof were added and the eagle and Twin Towers were painted by a young local artist, Michaela "Mickey" Muckelrath, in honor of the victims of 9/11.
The stage overlooks a large field directly in front of The Ohio Veterans' Memorial Park. The field has room for thousands of viewers as well as parking.

The stage is currently available for the public to use for concerts, speakers or other events.

HOST YOUR VETERAN RELATED EVENT AT THE PARK

The barn and stage are available for your military and veteran related events. There is currently no set fee for use of the stage, we just ask that you consider making a donation to assist us in completing the park. The stage is available on a first come, first serve
basis. We ask that you contact us atinfo@ovmp.org or call us at (330) 529-4001 to request use of, and check availability of the stage.
